Upon graduation, students are highly sought after by leaders of industry, ranging from start-up companies to large corporations, as well as major government agencies. The Del E Webb School of Construction boasts a 100 percent job placement rate for graduates, even during slow economic periods. An average starting salary for a DEWSC graduate is $50,000—$65,000.

Construction career paths
Estimator:Prepares surveys and estimates for job bids, solicits subcontractor and vendor quotations, and assists in compiling historical cost data for project estimates. Estimators need good math skills and an ability to read engineering drawings.
Project Engineer: Responsible for all project layout and dimensional accuracy, interpretation of plans and specifications, and providing control lines for subcontractors.
Superintendent: Provides overall on-site supervision and coordination of construction activities on projects. Oversees construction process to ensure project in built in accordance with design, budget and schedule. Also supervises and coordinates subcontractors and internal employees on the job site.
Project Manager: Provides overall management direction for projects. Responsibilities include planning, organizing and staffing projects, providing training and development of project personnel, and maintaining client relationships.
President/Vice President: Company owner and operator.
