Scholarships
A number of undergraduate scholarships are provided for ASU construction students by the construction industry, national and local trade organizations, foundations, endowments, and individuals. Scholarships are awarded solely on the basis of academic achievement and participation in construction program activities.
List of undergraduate scholarships
Our premier scholarship is the Del E. Webb Memorial which is given to the upper division student with the highest academic average.
Approximately 50 scholarships are awarded each year purely on academic merit. Scholarship awards range from $1,000 to $6,000 per academic year. The median construction scholarship award for 2004/2005 was about $2,600.
Construction scholarships are restricted to full time construction students who have completed at least two semesters in the program and are carrying 15 semester hours. (Exception: Six $2000/year awards are reserved for high school graduates who graduate in the top 5% of the class).
Criteria for awarding Undergraduate Scholarship
- Register as a full-time construction student.
- Carry a 15-credit program/semester hour minimum course load for two consecutive semesters.
- Have a CUM GPA of 3.00 or better for two consecutive semesters.

GRANTS
The student and his/her family are primarily responsible for financing a college education. The School sometimes receives special grants from donors, where need, not GPA, is the criterion. Since these gifts are infrequent, there is no fixed application procedure for the DEWSC.
