In addition to degrees in both Civil and Industrial Management, Mr. Burton also possesses an MBA.   After working with a large construction company providing field supervision and performing cost work, Mr. Burton returned to school and achieved a Ph.D. in Economics from Fordham University in Pennsylvania.  He then came to Arizona State University to teach in economic and engineering areas, labor relations, and feasibility analysis.

Mr. Hastings holds both an M.S.I.E. from Oklahoma A & M and a B.S.M.E. from the University of Nebraska. He has served on the Chief Air Force Facilities Engineering Branch USAF Ballistic Missile Division (Inglewood, CA) and as Commander ICBM Construction Task Force for two ICBM squadrons. Mr. Hasting's past academic experience includes Professor and Director of the Division of Construction at Arizona State University as well as Assistant Dean for the School of Technology at Purdue University.

In the Spring of 2002 Professor Vern Hastings, Emeritus, received an $80,000 endowment in his name from the Del E. Webb Foundation, to complete the Vern Hasting Scholarship.

Dr. Weber originally joined the construction program on August 16, 1985. BSCE in 1977 from University of California, Berkeley; MSCE in 1983 from University of California, Berkeley; PhD – IE in 1999 from Arizona State University. Work experience included Guy F. Atkinson Company (CA), Hard Dollar Corporation (AZ) and Construction Materials Risk Assessment with ADOT. She won the (then) College of Engineering and Applied Sciences Upper Division Teaching Award in 1995 and founded the Construction Women’s Alliance (CWA) which is a construction mentoring group for women alumni, current women students, and potential women students. Also a founding member of Women in Construction Education (WiCE). Member of ASCE, NSPE, ASEE, NAWIC, AAUW, and a consultant evaluator for the Accreditation Review Council for the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Participant in the University’s Committee on the Status of Women, and Women in Science and Engineering Advisory Panel. Sandra Weber was the first female faculty member in the construction program at ASU. A dedicated teacher with an emphasis on heavy/civil construction; computer applications in construction; and a focused researcher with an emphasis in construction project controls, women and minorities in construction, and construction productivity improvement. Sandi Weber was a person of integrity and a compassion advisor who cared deeply about the students. She sincerely enjoyed teaching, interacting with students, and mentoring. Sandi Weber will be remembered not only as an educator and researcher, but as a very talented artist and painter; and a loyal and genuine friend
