Prospective Students
All students are required to complete the core courses, plus elective course work to meet the number of credit hours required. The courses selected should be tailored to the student's area of interest and must be approved by the student's Graduate Supervisory Committee.
Thesis Option:
30 graduate hours including a 6 hours thesis and defense.
Non-Thesis Option:
This option requires 36 hours including a 3 hour research project.
Transfer Credits:
The transfer of courses taken at other institutions is limited to one sixth of the total degree requirement at ASU. For a thesis option student, six credits may be transferred. A non-thesis option student may transfer seven.
400 level courses:
No more than 6 hours of courses taken for credit toward a MS degree may be 400 level courses. Planning and Scheduling (CON 495) and Construction Contract Administration (CON 496) are deficiency courses, and may not be used to satisfy Master of Science degree requirements. Must be approved by committee prior to enrollment.
Non-Degree Courses:
No more than nine hours of graduate credit, taken prior to admission into the graduate program may be applied to a MS degree.
