Introduction
In 1989, the Del E. Webb School of Construction (DEWSC) at Arizona State University, the Phoenix Chapter of the National Association of Woman in Construction (NAWIC), and the Construction Industry Advisory Council (IAC), established an annual search and award program for outstanding women constructors.
Purpose of the Program
- To promote construction careers
- To encourage young women to enter this indispensable and lucrative profession
- To recognize and publicize successful women in construction
