1999 NAWIC Outstanding Woman in Construction
Peggy Newquist
Peggy Newquist, Training Manager for Site Development, Mac Donald's Corporation, Oak Brook, Illinois. She is also the construction expert on a two-person team. She was named the 1993 Project Manager Rookie of the Year and in 1995, was presented the Director's Award for Excellence in Construction. Her current position involves training of all new field personnel on the basics of Mac Donald's project management.
Employed in the construction industry for more than 12 years, she has worked on projects as diverse as toll roads, apartment buildings, healthcare build outs, banks and restaurants. The projects have ranged from $500,000 to $5 million, and have been completed on time and within budget.
She holds a BS in Construction Engineering and Management from Purdue University. A member of NAWIC since 1992, she is serving her second term as chapter president, and teaches Construction Industry Technician courses for the Southwest Cook County Chapter of NAWIC.
