1996 NAWIC Outstanding Woman in Construction
Marisol Claudio-Ehalt
Marisol Claudio-Ehalt, Technical Inspector, 3D International, Houston, TX. Ms. Ehalt's current assignment is the Add/Alter Commissary, Great Lakes Naval Training Center, North Chicago, IL. She has more than 17 years of experience in multiple areas of the construction industry.
A member of NAWIC since 1990, she was president of the Greater Peoria Chapter in 1993 and is currently National Director of Region 6. She is also a member of the Greater Peoria Contractors and Suppliers Association and of the Society of American Military Engineers.
An advocate of education, she has spoken to many groups of students from elementary school through college, encouraging women to expand their educations and to not be afraid to strive for careers in fields traditionally dominated by males.
"This award is a good reminder that the strength and future of the construction industry and of our communities rests on the accomplishments of each us today," she wrote. "Let's make a difference...our children are watching."
